Honor Your Pet Aftercare Services has been providing Pet Cremation on Vancouver Island, British Columbia since 2000. Honor Your Pet Aftercare Services understands the unique relationship and value that exists between a pet parent and their animal.

Honor Your Pet Aftercare Services is in Black Creek, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. They serve over forty-five pet healthcare clinics from Cobble Hill to Campbell River and from Port Alberni to Powell River. The company has the newest in cremation equipment and takes care and pride in assisting those that are going through this vulnerable time. Many families choose to deliver their pet companion to the facility, view the cremation and/or have a celebration of life.

Honor Your Pet Aftercare Services has been providing Pet Cremation on Vancouver Island, British Columbia since 2000. In 2009, Andre and Tara Laderoute purchased the company from its original owner. The Laderoute family now reside on this beautiful 6-acre parcel of land. They strive every day to provide the utmost best in customer service by providing the veterinarian community with their aftercare services.Honor Your Pet Aftercare Services understands the unique relationship and value that exists between a pet parent and their animal. They also comprehend the professional relationship that develops between a pet’s owner and that family member’s healthcare provider, the veterinarian. Honor Your Pet Aftercare Services is dedicated to serving those valued relationships between man and animal knowing how difficult it is to say “Good-Bye” to a beloved pet. We encourage you to include your veterinarian in the aftercare process as your advocate having the foundation of trust that you have established over the lifetime of your animal.

Andre, Tara and Stephanie take pride in providing the highest of standards to every grieving pet parent that is dealing with the loss of their animal. Knowing that their pet is being handled with honesty, compassion and integrity allows their clients to have the peace of mind that they deserve. For transparency purposes, all the staff at Honor Your Pet Aftercare Services work under full video surveillance. This confirms all processes and procedures are followed as expected by the accreditation program of IAOPCC.

 

Andre Laderoute – Owner

Certified Pet Cremationist

In 2014 Andre obtained his certification as a pet crematory operator through the International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematoriums. In his past he attended Olds College in Alberta and graduated with two diplomas. One in livestock production and the other in Agriculture Finance.  Andre has worked on a 1,000 head cow/calf operation, dairy farm, feed lot and trained border collies to round up cattle and sheep.

Andre has been surrounded by domestic pets his entire life. Andre’s extensive knowledge and hands-on experience enable him to provide high quality and reliable services, ensuring exceptional care and professionalism for his clients.

Tara Laderoute – Owner

Registered Pet Funeral Director and Life Celebrant for Pets

In 2014 Tara attended a course through International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematoriums to become a Registered Pet Funeral Director. She then became a Life Celebrant for Pets in 2017 when Joe Dwyer with the Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement created a certified program. In Tara’s past she spent many of her years caring for Special Needs individuals in the public education system as both a teacher and administrator.

She has a degree in Special Education with a background in Psychology.  Tara also has a heart for special needs animals and has adopted many rescues in need throughout her years; the latest being Smyth her one-eyed Chihuahua Tea Cup Poodle. Tara comprehends what an individual goes through as they are grieving and feels confident that their service provides comfort and closure to those they serve.

Tara and Andre Laderoute together have three boys, two dogs and a cat. Their children are Cabe, Nolan and Brody. Their dogs are Molly and Smyth and the latest family member is their cat Henry.

Stephanie Rivers – Employee

Crematory Operator

Stephanie has been a tremendous asset to our company since 2017. She is a professional, heartwarming, caring individual that loves animals. As a pet parent, Stephanie is knowledgeable about the agility world. She has two well-loved dogs Sydney and Buddy. She has worked much of her adult life with animals to some capacity whether it be in a kennel, daycare dog walking, or at a veterinary clinic. We cherish her as she treats all animals here at the facility as if they were her own. Her deep commitment and expertise makes her an integral and valued member of our team, profoundly enhancing the care and compassion we provide.

Justin Phillips – Employee

Crematory Operator

Justin brings an energetic and upbeat attitude to his role at Honor Your Pet Aftercare Services. He grew up around cats, dogs and horses. His love for rescuing animals started when he was working in landscaping and rescued a couple of kittens. Since then, he and his wife continue to rescue animals of all shapes and sizes. Currently, he has dogs, cats, ponies, horses, Koi fish, a goat, and a tortoise.

He treats all our clients’ animals with the same compassionate and nurturing disposition. At home, Justin enjoys watching football with his Chihuahua Wall-E. His deep-seated love for animals and unwavering dedication to their well-being makes him a truly invaluable member of our team.

Arriana Gibson – Employee

Office Administrator

Arriana brings a warm and compassionate touch to her role at Honor Your Pet Aftercare Services. Her background in education has honed her skills in communication and empathy, which she now applies to supporting pet owners during difficult times. Arriana shares her life with her beloved cat, George, and enjoys exploring the outdoors. Her love for animals and her genuine understanding makes her a cherished part of our team.
